  • BOMAR Workline 610.450 RB metal band saw machine

    The BOMAR Workline 610.450 RB metal band saw has been specially developed for cutting pipe bends with a maximum diameter of 450 mm. Pipe bends from 45° to a maximum of 180° can be cut efficiently with this saw. They are primarily used in shipbuilding and in the offshore industry. The saws in the Workline range are generally equipped with a swivel bearing and can be easily integrated into production lines.
    According to Bomar, the saws in the Workline RB series are generally equipped with a swivel bearing and can be easily integrated into existing systems. Its drive has an output of 3.0 kW and the belt speed is infinitely variable between 20 and 120 m/min via frequency converters. A chip brush is also driven in synchronisation with the belt speed.
    The ADFR system is part of the standard equipment of the semi-automatic sawing machines. It automatically regulates the interplay of cutting pressure and cutting feed in real time. A sensor detects the current load on the saw blade and adjusts the cutting feed according to the shape of the material. With larger cross-sections of material, the cutting channel lengthens and the load on the band saw blade increases. If the cutting feed is not automatically adjusted in these areas, the service life of the band saw blade is drastically reduced or the cutting time is significantly extended due to a lower feed rate.
