      • Rutile cored wire for MIG/MAG welding machines

        The welding wire MT-FD2-o is a protective gas-free, self-protecting cored wire for general welding and hard application. It is filled with a metal powder (flux). The weld pool is protected from oxidation by the fusing flux.

        The MT-FD2-o is therefore ideal
        - for use outdoors, even in adverse weather conditions such as wind,
        - on construction sites - no need to bring in protective gas cylinders,
        - for tacking, butt welds and fillet welds on low-alloy sheets up to 15 mm thick, e.g. on steel structures, agricultural machinery, during assembly, repair, etc.

        The output is approx. 90%, the wire projection (stick out) should be set to approx. 40 mm without protective gas.

        Cored wire welding without shielding gas is possible with the ELMAG® welding machines EUROMIGplus EM 161, EMS 1725 and ETP 220 SynPuls.
