Screw compressors

The main advantage of using a screw compress or is the almost loss-free compression of the air by means of contactless rotor screws. The air is compressed between two rotating screws arranged opposite each other. Together with the surrounding compressor housing, they form the screw drive.

ELMAG-MARK screw compressors are among the best, technologically leading high-performance units for commercial and industrial compressed air supply. They are backed by over 25 years of development know-how and expert knowledge - so you are on the safe side, both technologically and economically. In addition to our durable industrial compressors, you will also find accessories such as compressed air dryers or air filters in our range.

Areas of application of a screw compressor

A screw compressor is particularly suitable for intermittent and continuous operation. Thanks to modern technology (e.g. speed control), energy consumption can be significantly reduced compared to earlier methods when air demand is low or fluctuates. Due to their low energy consumption, high reliability and long service life, these units are now almost part of the basic equipment of every commercial or industrial operation.

Liquid-cooled screw compressors

Liquid-cooled compressors are mainly used in industry when the operating temperature must be kept low. With the help of a coolant (usually oil), the temperature of the compressor can be kept at around 80 °C regardless of load and pressure. After compression, the coolant is separated from the air again. The compressed air then flows via an aftercooler to the compressed air tank. Liquid-cooled screw compressors are used when an operating pressure of up to 13 bar and delivery rates of up to approx. 30 m³/min are required.
