Petrol engines are cheaper than diesel engines but come with higher operating costs and have a shorter service life. In terms of cost-effectiveness, they therefore tend to be more suitable for short-term use.
When purchasing a generator, consideration should be given to the brand, type and service life of the engine. Cheap products on the market that have only a short service life (e.g. <500 h) are not good value for money.
