Compressed air technology: A reliable and efficient solution

Advantages of compressed air

Working with compressed air (also called pneumatics) is a technically very attractive solution, especially for production processes. Low operating costs and high efficiency make compressed air technology irreplaceable for industry and commerce. For example, it has become indispensable for certain manufacturing processes or for transporting raw materials.

In addition, tools can be operated easily and, above all, very safely in this way. Compressed air technology thus offers a wide range of applications for trade, commerce and industry.

Low operating costs & high safety

Pneumatics also offer great advantages in financial terms. Due to the long service life and low wear, the operating costs remain low. In addition, air as an operating medium is free and always available. Pneumatic systems are characterised by simple and quick installation, as no lines need to be filled or vented. This makes them particularly attractive for beginners and ambitious hobby craftsmen.

What should be considered when buying a compressor?

In order to select the right type of compressor and the appropriate equipment, the following things should be considered in advance:

  • Consumption: How much compressed air is needed for the task/air tool?
  • Air quality: What is the required moisture, oil and particle content in the compressed air?
  • Operating cycle: How often is the compressor used?
  • Operating pressure: What operating pressure do the tools used require?
  • Effective delivery rate: This refers to the actual amount of air available from the compressor
  • Intakecapacity: Intake capacity (displacement) is a common but inaccurate definition of compressor capacity
